Materials and Weights

Our standard fabric is 210D polyester, which is light, tear-resistant, water-repellent, and takes screen printing cleanly in any colour. For a more substantial product we offer 420D and 600D polyester, which resist abrasion better and hold their shape when loaded. Non-woven polypropylene string bags provide the lowest unit cost for very high-volume giveaways. Cotton and canvas drawstring bags give a natural, premium feel for lifestyle brands and retail packaging, and RPET fabric made from recycled bottles is available where recycled content is a purchasing requirement.

Cord options include braided nylon, polypropylene, and cotton drawcords in matching or contrast colours, with reinforced corner eyelets or fabric corner patches through which the cord runs. The corner detail is the single most common failure point on cheap string bags; ours use reinforced patches or metal eyelets with bar-tack stitching so the cord does not tear out under load.

Construction and Features

The core construction is simple by design: a sewn rectangular body with a top channel carrying a continuous cord that doubles as shoulder straps and closure. Beyond that we offer front zip pockets, mesh side bottle pockets, earphone ports, padded shoulder cord sleeves for comfort under load, water-resistant linings, reflective piping and reflective print for evening events and running programmes, and contrast base panels in a second fabric or colour.

Reflective detailing deserves specific mention for UAE clients running road races, cycling events, and school programmes: adding a reflective strip or reflective ink to the print costs very little and materially improves the safety of anyone wearing the bag near traffic after dark.

Printing and Branding

Screen printing is the standard method and is ideal for one- to four-colour logos, producing bright, opaque results on any fabric colour. Full-colour heat transfer handles photographic and gradient artwork. All-over sublimation printing on white polyester allows edge-to-edge designs, which is popular for sports teams, festival merchandise, and event branding where the whole bag becomes the graphic. Embroidery is available on cotton and canvas versions.

Print areas are generous — typically 25x30cm or larger on a standard bag face — which means logos reproduce at a size that is legible across a stadium or event field rather than shrinking into insignificance. We can print both faces, and we regularly produce bags with sponsor logos on the reverse for event programmes with multiple partners.

Sizes and Colours

The standard size is approximately 34x42cm, which fits a change of clothes, shoes, a water bottle, and event materials. We also produce smaller 30x38cm bags for school and children's programmes and larger 40x48cm versions for kit bags. Stock fabric colours cover the full spectrum including fluorescent options for high-visibility event use, and Pantone-matched custom dyeing is available on larger runs.

We test loaded samples rather than quoting theoretical figures, and we will tell you if your intended use requires a backpack rather than a drawstring bag.

Sustainability

Polyester string bags are recyclable and, because they are genuinely reused as gym and school bags, they displace many single-use carriers over their life. For clients with recycled content targets we offer RPET fabric with documentation, and for those preferring natural fibres, cotton drawstring bags are fully biodegradable. We package bulk orders without individual polybags on request to eliminate unnecessary plastic in the shipment.

Screen-printed bags in stock colours produce in five to seven working days after artwork approval. Sublimated all-over prints and custom-dyed fabric require ten to fourteen days. Because string bags are almost always tied to an event date, we work backwards from your handover deadline and confirm the production schedule in writing.
