It is chosen for corporate goods because it delivers a consistent, premium appearance at a fraction of the cost and lead time of genuine hide, and because it takes debossing, foil stamping, and stitching cleanly and predictably across a full production run. Genuine leather varies piece to piece in grain, colour, and thickness, which makes matching a large corporate order difficult; PU leather is manufactured to a uniform specification, so five hundred organizers off the same roll look identical.

Construction, Components, and Formats

A typical PrintStack organizer is built around a rigid or semi-rigid board core wrapped in PU leather, giving the item structure so it does not sag when partially filled. Standard configurations include an A5 or A4 notebook holder with an elastic closure strap, a pen loop, a business card slot, a document pocket, and a rear zip pocket for loose items such as USB drives or receipts. Larger executive formats add a removable ring binder or a padfolio insert, a tablet sleeve sized for common iPad and tablet dimensions, a calculator pocket, and a mesh or fabric-lined phone pocket. Foil stamping combines the same heated die with a metallic or coloured foil layer, producing a gold, silver, rose gold, or coloured logo that reads clearly even on dark leather. Blind embossing, which raises rather than recesses the logo without foil, is used where a very understated finish is wanted. Screen printing is available for full-colour logos or where a flat, opaque mark is preferred over a debossed one.

Individual personalisation — printing or debossing a staff member's name, initials, or job title alongside the corporate logo — is a frequently requested addition for onboarding kits, long-service awards, and executive gifting, and we handle variable data runs where every unit in the batch carries a different name from a supplied list. Interior linings can also be branded, with company colours or a repeated logo pattern printed on the inner fabric for a premium unboxing moment.

Artwork Guidance

Logos should be supplied as vector files, ideally in EPS, AI, or high-resolution PDF format, since debossing and foil dies are cut directly from vector outlines and cannot be produced accurately from a low-resolution raster image. Fine detail and thin serif fonts below roughly 1.5mm in stroke width do not deboss cleanly on PU leather, so our prepress team will flag and simplify any artwork that is too fine before tooling is cut. For variable-data personalisation, names should be supplied in a clean spreadsheet with consistent formatting to avoid layout errors across the batch.
